Necklace Style

Throw boring style overboard with this Boston Tea Party-inspired necklace!

On December 16, 1773, a group of American colonists boarded three British ships, dumping 342 chests of tea into Boston Harbor. The destroyed tea belonged to the British East India Company, which had obtained a monopoly on tea importation that year. This monopoly forced colonists to accept and pay a British tax by selling tea at lower prices than untaxed tea from colonial merchants.

The Boston Tea Party demonstrated the colonists' resistance to taxation without representation, uniting them and fueling anti-British sentiment.

This design takes inspiration from The Boston Tea Party, envisioning broken tea crates bobbing amidst the churning water of Boston harbor.

This item is packaged in a beautiful black gift box with the original period imagery and historical information vetted by a museum curator. The box is perfect for gifting or storage!
